There is no shame in doing odd jobs
Those who clean toilets in Canada were cleaning toilets back home too 
A King is a King everywhere and a loser is a loser everywhere, coming to UK won't change if you are a crap from inside.
Because the outside changed but you were crap back home and you are a crap in UK too.
If you are smart and skilled, it is impossible to do awkward jobs in the west.
I came from Afghanistan directly to Canada with no Canadian education or experience and Alhamdulilah I am OK.
In my country they say when you go abroad you wash dogs, you wash plates in restaurants and toilets in hotels.
Well it depends on your attitude, how easily you bend, how easily you sell yourself out.
If you are a person who compromises or listens to what everyone says then "Yes" you will clean toilets.
But if you are educated and have some work experience you can kill it.
Forget about me, I have a bad background both in terms of country and I am a Finance guy but my ex wife friend is in IT and he makes 260k$ per annum.
He studied programming in India, he worked 3 years in India, he came to Canada and works for amazon now and I think he is 27 years old.
So, like I said, if you are from a better country than Afghanistan and still washing Toilets then that is on you 
P.S There is no shame in doing odd jobs, I am just stating the fact that people think with education there is no hope but learning Freelancing hacks from a broke guru is the way to success
