How does it feel to live in Saudi Arabia as an expatriate?

Here’s the latest update for life for expatriates in Saudi Arabia:
- You have your salary for yourself as there is no income tax.
- You live in one of the world’s safest countires—safer than the US, the UK, France, China and Russia. Your children can play alone in the street without ever having to worry about their safety.
- Expatriate Ivey is only 100$ per person, per month.
- Gas is one of the cheapest in the world (I fill my car’s tank to the brim with only $30 (50-liter tank).
- Female expatriates can now enjoy life without previous constraints (the male-guardianship system was abolished, the ban on women’s driving was lifted, Hijab has become a personal choice).
- Saudi Arabia has introduced liberal social reforms (gender segregation was abolished, women are being empowered, foreign tourism was allowed, ban on cinema and music festivals was lifted).
- Saudi Arabia is a sleeping giant that has just woken up. It is becoming a cultural, entertainment, and business hub (the largest in the Middle East), so expect a lot of fun, international and local events and festivals to take place in Saudi all year round).
